There’s been a bit of author drama on the interwebz again this week. I’m not sure if they’ve been temporary meltdowns or more cases of Authors Behaving Badly, but either way – dude, be nice to your readers! I love my readers! I adore each and every one of you. I would write even if I had no readers, but ya’ll make it so much more fun. You give me inspiration. You motivate me to put my butt in the chair and write. And most of all, you give me friendship. Even if I’ve never met you or communicated with … Continue reading

This post should have gone up a long time ago, as in when I first returned from RT a few weeks ago, but there’s been so much going on. For one, I was waaaaaay behind deadline for finishing the first draft of Book 4. Just dropping in to say a quick “hi”! I’m still trying to get back to normal after the chaotically fun RT Booklovers Convention in Chicago last week, followed by some craziness at the day-job, including a one-night trip to Miami this week. I have lots of fun news for you, though. And I also have all kinds of goodies to giveaway, so stay … Continue reading

Sometime in early 2011, I joined a host of other authors and pledged to donate $500 to First Book if any of my books made it to the Top 100 of ALL Kindle Paid Bestsellers List. Making it to that list – not a genre or category list but THE Top 100 – had been a dream at the time and I thought making a donation to such a worthy cause was/is a great way to show my appreciation. Thanks to all of you, it became a reality in October when Promise topped out at #54 of All.Kindle.Titles. I just … Continue reading

This month we celebrate Thanksgiving in the U.S. and I think it might be my favorite holiday of the year. I mean, I love Christmas! I’ve always thought of it as my fave. But food, family, giving thanks and NO presents to buy, wrap and return? If it’s not a tie, Thanksgiving is a very close second. I’m grateful for so much in my life throughout the year and thank God every day, but I don’t always get a chance to specifically say it aloud to the world. So in celebration of Thanksgiving, each Thursday in November here on the … Continue reading
