I know I haven’t been much of a blogger recently. Besides participating in a special Fall promotion for New Adult authors and sharing some cover reveals for author-friends, pretty much everything else has been promotions and updates about Wrath, and before that, The Space Between. Lame, I know. *hangs head in shame* For the record, however, Wrath kicked my arse. Literally. I still have the bruise. Okay, okay, not literally. But it sure felt like it! Still does. The only physical evidence to my arse, though, is the widening of it. Every book packs on a few pounds and Wrath was worse … Continue reading

Every now and then I get a reviewer who comments or complains about the profanity in my books. And there may even be others who comment on those reviews with appreciation to know because they don’t want a book with cuss words, especially the f-bomb. Well…so what. My books aren’t for everyone and I’m okay with that. *shrugs* But I’ve also had a handful of readers ask me how my particular characters can cuss so much considering their background with angels. In case you didn’t know, I write fantasy. Since you’re here, you probably read it. We’re all familiar with various mythological creatures and love to imagine that they truly exist. Over the last few days, though, I’ve decided they’re just as mythical as vampires and … Continue reading

I’m a soon-to-be-recovering workaholic (soon as when I win the lottery) and I’m a home-body. Since I work at home – for both my day-job and writing – I really, seriously, sadly don’t get out much. This week, though, offered a change of pace. For the past few years, every two months I make an overnight trip to Orlando for the day-job business. It usually entails the drive up there, work for a couple hours, eat in my hotel room and enjoy the quiet and write…or get online because I suddenly feel so lonely. Then I get up the next … Continue reading

Starting tomorrow, life gets even crazier than it has been for the next 10 days. Tomorrow I’m taking off with The Man and some friends to Biketoberfest in Daytona. Anyone familiar with the world of Harley-Davidson and motorcycles knows that Daytona Bike Week and Sturgis Bike Week are the two BIG rallies of the year. But Daytona has a smaller one, called Biketoberfest that’s supposed to be more fun because it’s not as huge. I’m excited for a real break…and possibly a beer or two. 😉 I’ve been trying to figure out how to take advantage of this trip because, … Continue reading
